Perhaps this might get to be too filtery?
What if there was a search box where you could put words that people may have put in there profiles.
Let's say someone wanted to look up everyone that liked the Harry Potter series.
They could put Harry Potter a and it would find everyone that has put that in there interest catigory.
Not trying to start clicks, though that may start those.
A second idea,
Let's say you wanted to find (and i'm not sure how to implament this...) someone who liked harry potter and soft rock.
Might there be a way for that?
Or what of fidning all the people who liked soft rock, or harry potter?
I may not be explaining this right and it may be a way overkill feature, but its an idea anyway.
A third idea is to find
these are good ideas.
you can all ready click on something in a users profile, to see who else likes the same thing, so i really don't see why not
I'm not sure how often I, personally, would use this feature, although I think it's a good idea. Like Dan mentioned, since you can already tag what you like in your profile anyway, I don't see how this would be too difficult to implament, although I'm not much for coding.
You say "you can all ready click on something in a users profile, to see who else likes the same thing, so i really don't see why not"
Oh yeah? where?
From what I've seen you can sort an age range, or sort by location,
but you can't say.. find all the people that live in Philadelphia, PA.
Though I'll point out that some people by putting things like
"ask me"
and MSN and Skype in the same display for the MSN messenger box doesn't help.
what i meant was:
say if a user says in their profile that they like harry potter, for example. you can click on the word harry potter, to see who else likes it.
that's what i meant..
Wow. I so never noticed that!
Now if you could put an edit box maybe, if my idea might be too hard to code, that would be even better yet.
